Be Diligent and Committed

Diligent and committed are key Characteristics for those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior.  True Lordship is gauged by one’s attitude toward God’s Word.

John 1:1, 14 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.  The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Your attitude toward the Word is your attitude toward God Himself!  The Word that dwelt among us was Jesus and our attitude toward him, also shows our attitude towards God.

It is important that we commit ourselves to reading God’s Word and spending intimate time in prayer and just talking to God every day.  As it says in Hebrews 10:22, “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

By keeping our eyes focused on the Word, we will get a deeper understanding of who we are in Christ and what is good.  I encourage you to get into the Word today and ask God to give you a hunger for Him, because I have no doubt that your day will go much better!
